FBE developed a Comprehensive Management Plan for the Pollack Brook Preserve, an approximately 30-acre property previously known as Runaway Farm, acquired by the Cape Elizabeth Land Trust (CELT). The plan provides CELT with a plan to maintain the scenic, cultural, and natural characteristics of a given property while concurrently allowing for public access and recreational activities. FBE assessed and documented the natural communities present on the property through an ecological assessment, reviewed potential impacts of agricultural operations on the property, and developed management recommendations for future natural resource protection. Management recommendations were provided for trail and recreational opportunities, wildlife and habitat protection, and potential agriculture operations.
